THE OCEAN HOUSE POLICIES

Deposit is required to secure your reservation. A deposit of the 1st night or weekend night, whatever is higher, is required to secure the reservation. Once the deposit is taken, the cancellation policy would be applicable for any date changes or cancellations.

Check In time: 3:00PM Check Out: 11:00AM
The Ocean House requests no arrivals before 12:30 pm. We will text you when your room is available, mostly prior to 3:00 pm.

All rates are based on double occupancy. There is a $50.00 charge for each additional person in rooms that accommodate a 3rd or 4th person. The Ocean House CANNOT accommodate children UNDER 12 yrs old.

Cancellation and Date Change Policy:
Reservation arrival dates can be changed*** or the deposit amount vouchered at no cost***, for up to 1 week prior to your scheduled arrival. Vouchers will hold the deposit value for 5 years. Cancellation requests for refunds will result in a transaction cost of 8% of the deposit amount. Cancellations within 1 week of arrival will result in forfeiture of the deposit amount. Cancellation of holiday stay within 1 week of arrival will result in fee for half the balance due. Cancellations within 72 hours of arrival date will result in forfeiture of the total balance due. Cancellations within 1 week, by order of the State, will be backdated to 1 week prior of arrival and those policies applied. (See above)
***Date changes do not over-ride minimum night requirements in effect when booking the stay. Cancel fees for the date change will equal the rates for the minimum nights required at time of booking. These fees will be assessed for cancellations of nights at any point after reservation is confirmed.

Our management will do its best to accommodate specific room requests, however, management also reserves the right to update your accommodations for comparable room changes or upgrades for any reason deemed necessary by management.

Badges are available as an add-on to your room, good from Check-in to Check-out. Badges will automatically be added to your reservation, if they are required during your dates of stay. You must notify us at receipt of your confirmation letter or during booking process, if you would like them removed.
The price for badges is $12 per person. Ocean House Badges must be returned at Check out at 11AM. Beach Badges are required from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The Ocean House is offering Umbrella Rental for your stay. Just $10.00 per umbrella for use from check-in to check-out.

The Ocean House has limited on-site parking. Additional parking is four houses away on the east side of Ocean Ave. This is the ONLY overnight parking in the Town of Spring Lake. Handicap placard or license plate owners will be permitted to park in front of the inn overnight. If bringing multiple vehicles, please park additional cars at the beach.

The Ocean House offers Complimentary Ice, Wi-Fi, Bicycles, Bike Locks, Beach Chairs and Towels. Hair Dryers and Ironing Boards upon request at front desk. Guests must be 18yrs old to use our bicycles.

All rooms’ amenities include flat screen tv, cable box, air conditioning, shower amenities and private bath. All coolers/food and beverages are stored on the 1st floor.

There are no elevators in the building. Bellhops are available between 3-6PM to help with your bags.

Our full hot breakfast is table side, every morning between 8:30-10:00AM, and is included in the price of the stay. If you have any food allergies, please let us know before your check in date. Guests with restrictions are encouraged to bring along any favorites, and store them in the refrigerators located on the back porch.

No smoking, vaping, or burning of anything with open flame in guest rooms, porch area, or on the premises. Violators will be charged a minimum $250 fee and up to the full cost for damages created or caused by the violation.

By arriving at our inn, you are acknowledging that you do not have any symptoms of COVID-19 and you accept the risks associated with travel at this time. You will not hold liable The Ocean House, in any way, as it pertains to transmitting or contracting COVID-19 or any other disease while a guest or after. Please follow CDC recommendations as they pertain to your vaccination staus and other health factors while traveling at this time.

Children are not allowed. Pets are not allowed.

CREDIT CARD SECURITY
Your credit card information is stored and processed securely.

SERVICE ANIMALS
Certified service animals must and will be approved by The Ocean House Management, provided proper documentation has been provided prior to arrival. Cleaning Fee of $35 will automatically be added to the reservation.

SPECIAL NEEDS & REQUESTS
I have provided any special needs or requests, to The Ocean House within my online booking request. If The Ocean House cannot accommodate those needs or requests, they will discuss them with me, before processing my reservation request

Documented and Certified service animals must and will be approved by The Ocean House Management prior to arrival. Emotional Support and house pets are unfortunately not allowed at this time. We are happy to recommend local boarding facilities, if needed.

New Jersey Turnpike: Exit 11 to Garden State Parkway South (then follow directions below).

Exit 98. Route 34 South to first traffic circle, from there 3/4 way around the circle. Follow Allaire Road straight to the Ocean -- turn right and follow Ocean Avenue to Sussex Avenue. The Ocean House is at the corner of Sussex and First Avenues.

New Jersey Turnpike: Exit 7A, then take 195 East to exit for Route 34 South.
Follow as above.

Garden State Parkway North:

Exit 98 for Route 34 South.
Follow directions above.
